I’m down another pound! 222 🙌 This is a Big deal for me. I couldn’t loose a single pound before and today I feel more determined than I have in a while. I’m not perfect, but I’m finally feeling like I’m putting in a genuine effort instead of just thinking about making changes. That feels like a huge win. One thing I’ve really been focusing on is increasing my protein. I know I haven’t hit my goal every day, but I’m making conscious choices to add more protein whenever I can and that already feels like progress. One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is creating my healthy high-protein recipe binder. Instead of filling it with recipes that require twenty specialty ingredients I’ll never buy, I intentionally looked for meals that use ingredients I already keep in the house. It makes it feel much more realistic instead of just overwhelming. I actually feel excited to cook again! Josh (my hubby) and I have been working together really well. He started peptides the same day I did and although I catch myself comparing our results sometimes, I’m trying to stop doing that. His body is different from mine and our journeys don’t have to look the same. One thing I love about him is how incredibly supportive he is. Hes constantly reassuring me &I know how lucky I am to have someone who loves me through every stage of this journey. He’s definitely the chef in our family. He can literally make anything taste amazing & cooks so much from scratch. He almost always makes dinner while I’m sous chef! Plus I spend a lot of time coming up with ideas for our newish protein heavy meals. It’s honestly become something we enjoy doing together & I really love that we’re becoming healthier as a team. I’m also brainstorming more gf & df high-protein snacks that my 4yr old can hopefully enjoy too. His ARFID makes coming up with ideas hard, but I’m determined to keep finding snacks & meals that are good for us all. Even though I still have a long way to go, today I was again reminded that progress isn’t about perfection..it’s about continuing to show up.
