Research Notes:
I’ve known this for a while, but I think I’m finally being honest with myself…I have a bit of a shopping addiction. 😅 Lately it’s started trickling into peptides. Peptides themselves aren’t the problem tho..I genuinely enjoy learning about them, but I tend to get overly excited when there’s a sale and convince myself I “might need it someday.”
Today I ordered more SS-31, which I actually did need if I want to complete the cycle the way I originally planned. I also picked up TA-1 (Thymosin Alpha-1) because I’ve heard so many positive things about immune support. Ever since I developed adult-onset asthma earlier this year, it feels like my immune system hasn’t been quite the same. Looking back I probably should have researched it a little more before buying it, but the sale definitely influenced me.
The good news is I’m not planning to reconstitute it anytime soon. It’ll stay safely in the freezer until I’m actually ready to use it.
One thing I absolutely need to improve is my organization. From now on, every new peptide I start is getting documented here—when I received it, when I reconstituted it, how long it’s been refrigerated, dosing changes, and any observations along the way. I think having everything in one place will help me stay organized and keep me from wasting product.
Nutrition Goals:
Today I’m going to spend more time researching meal plans which honestly is progress. Tomorrow I’ll see how much protein I can realistically eat, and August 1st is my official commitment to tracking everything. My first goal is 100 grams of protein every day. From everything I’ve researched, I probably should be closer to 150 grams, but I know myself. If I make the goal too extreme right away that’s whenI tend to burn out. I’d rather build the habit first, then increase it later.
I’m realizing this journey isn’t just about peptides or losing weight. It’s also about building better habits, being more intentional with my spending, improving my nutrition and staying consistent long enough to actually see results. That’s huge for me bc honestly ever since starting peptides in general my mind trys to tell me they haven’t done much, at least not like I hear some people rave about them. But then j have to remember I’m only a couple months in. I have a feeling in a couple more months I’ll have a ton of positive benefits to be proud about. Small changes done every day are probably going to get me a lot further than chasing the next “perfect” thing. Loving this new journal journey. It’s only the morning and I’m actually excited for this day to play out.
