First let me say, I believe in this "hobby" transparency is the top of importance as we all are doing research. I have purchased Tesa before from 3 different vendors, with over 10 different bottles coming from 2 of those vendors. With my last purchase I decided to give Plum a try, because prices and reviews were good and the open honestly about still being small. i.e. Nancy has never tried to portray like she is some huge corporation, which I like the honest approach being a small business own myself.
I ordered 2 bottles of Tesa and 4 bottle of Reta from her. The bottles of Reta have been great and without issue so far. However when it came time to use Tesa, I reconstituted as normal with 2 ML of Hospira BAC. The first vial I got gelled with in 24 hours. I have never had Tesa do this with any other supplier. It was late at night when I noticed it and out frustration threw the bottle away, with the next morning being trash day, so the vial was gone before I could even think about it.
However the next day I did reach out to Nancy just to let her know my experience. And like I said transparency is important here, she did mention if I could show here the gelling, we could discuss options. Unfortunately I no longer had to vial to demonstrate this, but also was not asking her to provide a refund or replacement. It was more of an observation I thought she should be aware of.
Now to the 2nd vial I got from her. This one made it down to around 0.3 ML left in the vial, before it gelled. While I could have reached out a second time, Im not sure what I would have asked for? I used the majority of the vial and based on my experience defiantly did not want any type of replacement.
I have sense re-ordered from my other main supplier and about 1/2 way through the next vial from them have not seen any issues at all, using the same bottle of BAC.
This is not meant to be a dig, or a do not buy from Nancy. Her Reta has been fine and great. If anything, I think it might be slightly stronger than what the bottle says as I have noticed a few very minor increase in my side effects taking the same dose I have been on for awhile. As I said this is more to share my experience with her Tesa, as I mentioned in the beginning, I feel transparency is key to this community.
I encourage anyone else to share their experience with her Tesa, my 2 vials may have very well been an oddity.
As a side note when it comes time to order more Reta, I will review her options at that time.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I have always respected a customer's right to speak honestly about their experience with Plum Labs Research, whether positive or negative. Since transparency is an important theme of your post, I do feel it is appropriate to provide a little additional context.
When you initially contacted me regarding the first vial, I responded within minutes and asked for a photo or video so that I could review what occurred and determine an appropriate resolution. You explained that the vial had already been discarded, which I completely understood.
You also acknowledged that my request for documentation was reasonable and told me that if the second vial experienced the same issue, you would provide a video, not necessarily because you wanted a replacement, but simply so that I could see the evidence.
According to your post, the second vial eventually experienced the same issue. Unfortunately, I was never contacted or provided the video we had discussed, so I wasn't given the opportunity to see the issue or look further into what may have occurred. I am actually learning about the reported issue with the second vial for the first time through this post.
Tesamorelin can be particularly sensitive following reconstitution, which is why being able to review the vial and the circumstances surrounding a reported change is important. At Plum Labs Research, the products we offer are carefully sourced and evaluated prior to being made available for sale, with independent testing performed as applicable. Product concerns are something I take seriously, and documentation allows me to properly review them rather than make assumptions in either direction.
You also mentioned that you weren't sure what you would have asked for by reaching out again. You didn't need to ask for anything. We had already discussed the next step, which was simply to show me what you were seeing so that I could properly review it. And if neither a replacement nor a refund was something you wanted, there was ultimately no other resolution I could provide beyond investigating your concern and addressing it with you directly.
I genuinely welcome feedback, including feedback that is less than favorable. Being a small business does not exempt me from criticism, nor would I ever expect it to. What I do expect is the opportunity to properly evaluate a concern when one is brought to me.
I responded to your original message promptly, took your concern seriously, and remained open to finding an appropriate resolution. I would have extended that exact same courtesy when you experienced the issue with the second vial had I been made aware of it.
So while I respect your decision to share your experience, I also believe that if transparency is the standard we are holding one another to, the complete context deserves to be shared as well.
I appreciate the positive feedback you provided regarding the remainder of your order, and I sincerely wish you the best in your continued research.
